Payton Agnew, 14, donates $840!

Payton Agnew has participated in Children’s Cancer Fund’s “Beyond the Rainbow” Luncheon and Fashion Show for the past two years. She was diagnosed with T-cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma, and she is being treated at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas. She is 14 years old, and she is a freshman at Rockwall-Heath High School.

In June 2010, Payton thought of a way to give back. She decided to raise money for Children’s Cancer Fund. She made a variety of fun bracelets and sold them from her hospital bed while she was receiving her Bone Marrow Transplant after a relapse of her Lymphoma. The news about Payton’s bracelets spread through the hospital quickly, and with the help of Physician Assistants, Nurses and Clinic Techs, she was able to raise over $600 while she was still in the hospital. With the help of her friends and her aunts, they raised even more with a grand total of $840!

A big thanks to Payton from Children’s Cancer Fund! Your gift has helped to advance childhood cancer research, purchase state-of-the-art equipment, discover new therapies that hold great promise for a cure, and provide crucial care for children with cancer.
