Facts about childhood cancer

Jackie Snyder

Jackie’s daughter Grace was diagnosed with Infant ALL (Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia ) at 51/2 months old. After a short but courageous fight- Grace lost her battle with cancer a few weeks later. As a tribute to Grace, Jackie has graciously accepted a position on the Board of Directors for CCF.  In 2006, Jackie also chaired the first annual wine tasting and recipe challenge which raised over $16,000.

Jackie is kept very busy being a stay-at-home mother of three small children, Zane, Lily & Tessa.  However, since Grace’s death, she dedicates her volunteer time to helping find a cure for this horrible disease.  She started an affiliate of the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life and chaired the event raising $45,000 in the first year.  She is the Vice-President of the Richardson chapter of The MOM’s Club where she recently worked to raise additional money with the “Alex’s Lemonade Stand” program and developed a Mom’s Cookbook with the proceeds going directly to the Children’s Cancer Fund.

“Jackie spends quality time every day with our three young children, but serving on the CCF Board will give her a very special way to spend a little time with Grace,” said her husband, Chris Snyder.
